Sub plans for a substitute teacher

Plan the days you'll be away, up to a month ahead, and print them.

When you'll be away, open My week → Timetable → Sub plans.

  1. Pick the days you'll be away (From and To), up to a month ahead. Weekends are skipped.
  2. Each day is filled in from your timetable: the classes, times, topics and activities. Days off from your school calendar show as no school, and a rotating cycle shows the right cycle day.
  3. Under For every day, add routines and where things are, students who need support, office and emergency contacts, and duties.
  4. For each class, write what the substitute should do. Add notes for the day if something is different (an assembly, a test).
  5. Press Print sub plan. Each day prints on its own page, and empty boxes are left out.

Sub plans save as you type, on this computer only, because they often mention students. Write them on the computer you'll print from, or on the classroom computer the substitute will use. Plans older than a week are cleared.
