How My week works
Your weekly planner: set it up once, then every lesson has its own class screen.
My week is your weekly planner. You add your classes once, and Classroom TA turns every lesson into a ready-to-teach class screen. Open it from the My week button on your board.
1. Set up your week (once)
First, My week asks one question: does your school use a rotating cycle? Say No for the same week Monday to Friday. Say Yes for a cycle like Day 1, Day 2… and pick how many days it has and which day it is today. Then choose how to add your classes:
- Drop your timetable PDF in the box on My week. Classroom TA reads it and fills in every day for you to check. A progress bar shows how it's going; it usually takes 20 to 60 seconds.
- No PDF? Click Type in my classes and answer two quick questions: are your bell times the same every day, and do you teach the same classes in the same blocks every day? Say yes and you only enter them once.
- Just looking? Try an example week loads a made-up week you can explore.
2. Check it and save
- Your week opens in the editor, one column per day.
- Fix anything that's off: class names, start and end times, topics and activities (one activity per line).
- Leave a class empty for a free or prep block. It's skipped when you save.
- Press Save schedule. Your week is saved to your account, so it's there on any computer you sign in on.
3. Use it every day
- Day view shows today as a timeline of large cards, with recess and lunch in between. The class happening now is highlighted, with the minutes left.
- Week view shows the whole week as a grid. You can search lessons and show or hide subjects.
- Tap any lesson to open its class screen: a board for that lesson with its plan, a clock and a timer, ready to show your class.
- On your board, the Today tool shows today's classes, with the class happening now highlighted. Click a class to open its class screen. (The Lesson plan tool is different: it's a step-by-step plan for one lesson.)
4. Change it any time
Click Edit schedule to change a lesson, move blocks, or add and remove classes. Use Copy to all to copy one day to the others, or Upload PDF to read a new timetable.
Rotating cycle (Day 1, Day 2…)
If your school uses a rotating cycle where Day 1 isn't always Monday, answer Yes, a rotating cycle to the first question on My week, then pick how many days your cycle has and which cycle day it is today. A timetable PDF is then read as Day 1 to Day N too. Classroom TA counts school days from there and skips weekends, so the right day shows as today on My week, on your board's Today tool and in the owl's reminders.
After a holiday, PD day or snow day, use Today is Day … at the top of My week to set the right cycle day. Everything follows from there.
School calendar: holidays, PD days and breaks
Click School calendar on My week and drop your school or district calendar PDF. Classroom TA lists the days with no school; check the list, remove anything wrong, add a snow day by hand, then press Save days off. On those days there are no classes, the owl says "No school today", and a rotating cycle skips them, so it stays on the right day without fixing it by hand. My week also shows your next day off.
5. A new semester or year
Click New timetable at the top of My week. You set it up again with a PDF or the quick questions, and your current timetable stays until you save the new one (or press Keep my current timetable).
Classroom TA always keeps two timetables: your current one and the one before it. Click Previous timetable to see it and Switch to this timetable if you need it back; switching swaps them, so you keep both. When you save a third, the oldest one is removed.
Your timetable repeats every week: the dates move on to the current week by themselves, so you never have to change them.
Only today and the class happening now are highlighted, so your week stays calm and easy to read at a glance.
