The owl's greetings and class reminders
Good morning, a heads-up before each class, and have a nice day.
The owl at the top of your board follows your My week schedule:
- Before school: "Good morning!" with your first class.
- A few minutes before each class: it asks, for example "Math 7A starts at 8:35", with Open Math 7A and Not now. It never opens a class by itself, so you stay in control if a lesson runs long.
- At recess, lunch and between classes: "Enjoy your break" or "Good afternoon", with the next class.
- After the last class: "Have a nice day!" (and "Have a great weekend!" on Fridays).
- While you teach: the owl stays quiet.
Greetings fade after a minute, and you can close any of them with ×. Each message shows only once.
Settings (your initial, top right of the board):
- Board name… sets what the owl calls you, for example "Ms. Rivera". Your students see the board, so a name like this works better than your first name.
- Owl greetings: On / Off turns the owl on or off.
The owl only shows a speech bubble. It never makes a sound.
